Many times when installing new drivers or updating network information, the need arises to view a copier's current network settings or to provide system information to remote Network IT Professionals.  Below is a great video on processing and printing the device’s configuration page directly from the output device.

To print a configuration page on a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE device, press the Settings/Registration button, then navigate to Function Settings > Printer > Output Report > PCL (or PS) > Configuration Page, and finally press Yes to print. Ensure you have letter-sized paper loaded in the multi-purpose tray or a paper drawer.

Here are the detailed steps:

  1. Access the Settings menu: On the device's control panel, press the Settings/Registration button.
  2. Navigate to Printer settings: Select Function Settings, then select Printer.
  3. Select Output Report: Press Output Report to access the report printing options.
  4. Choose the printer language: Select either PCL or PS (PostScript), depending on your printer's configuration.
  5. Select the Configuration Page: Press Configuration Page.
  6. Print the page: Confirm your selection by pressing Yes to print the configuration page.

Important Considerations

  • Paper:
Make sure you have the appropriate size paper (usually Letter-size) loaded in the multi-purpose tray or a paper drawer.
  • Online Indicator:
Check that the printer's online indicator is on. If not, press the Online button to activate it.
  • Network Information:
The printed page contains important information, so handle it with care and keep it in a safe place.
